Why Clariti Flags Some Working Links
Clariti uses a link checker to scan your posts regularly for broken links. A link may be flagged as broken if:
It takes too long to load, which can signal poor performance for search engines
The page redirects to another URL
The site uses marketing redirect links that generate temporary or unique URLs
The destination site (like Apple, Uber, or Walmart) has a firewall or bot blocker that prevents our crawler from verifying the link.
In these cases, even if the link technically works, Clariti may not be able to confirm that it loads correctly and may flag it as broken.
How to Confirm and Retest a Link
Verify the link manually: Click on the link flagged as red, and confirm it works as expected.
From the content details view in Clariti, click Quick Actions > Retest Links to recheck that post’s links.
Clariti will reprocess the links within 24 hours. If the link is working and loading as intended but is still flagged in Clariti, you can check the “Ignore” box next to it. This will remove it from your broken link count.
Clariti runs link checks automatically on a schedule, so minor false positives may resolve on their own in time.
Let us know if you’re seeing a large number of false positives or broken links that won’t clear after a retest. We’re happy to take a look!
