What Happens to Your Data When You Cancel

How long Clariti keeps your data after you cancel, what does not carry over, and how to export your content data first.

Written by Jen Lowery

Years of traffic history, projects, and notes add up. Here is exactly what happens to all of it after you cancel, and how to save a copy of your content data before you go.

How Long Clariti Keeps Your Data

After your subscription ends, Clariti keeps your account data, including your Google Analytics history, keyword data, and project history, for one year. After one year, it is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

Clariti cannot reactivate a cancelled account. If you decide to come back, you will sign up again and start fresh with a new account. That means setting up new projects, tasks, and labels, and the Google Analytics and keyword data Clariti was storing for long-term tracking does not carry over.

Export Your Content Data Before You Go

Exporting from Explore to a CSV file is the only way to take data out of Clariti. The file includes each post's title, URL, author, published and modified dates, word count, link and image counts, and page views, sessions, and users for every time period.

1. Go to Explore.

2. Clear any filters. The export includes every item that matches your current filters, so clearing them exports your whole site.

3. Click the … button in the top right and choose Export Items to CSV.

4. When the file is ready, click Click Here to Download Export Spreadsheet.

There is no way to export projects, notes, or labels. If there are notes you want to keep, like the reasons you updated a recipe card, copy them somewhere else before your access ends.
