Clariti shows each post's author on the post's detail page and in the Author column and filter in Explore. If those are blank for your posts, the most common cause is a setting in the Wordfence security plugin.
Why the Author Goes Missing
Clariti reads your authors from the public WordPress REST API, the same way it reads your posts. Wordfence has a setting that stops people from discovering usernames on your site. When it is on, it also hides your authors from the REST API for any visitor who is not logged in, and that includes Clariti. Clariti can still see your posts, but not who wrote them.
Fix It in Wordfence
1. In WordPress, go to Wordfence > All Options.
2. Open the Brute Force Protection section.
3. Find the setting that prevents the discovery of usernames and turn it off.
4. Save your changes.
Another Option: Allow Clariti's IP Address
If you would rather keep the username setting on, add Clariti's IP address to Wordfence's allowlist so Clariti can get past that rule. Clariti always connects from the same static address: 35.192.123.62.
Frequently Asked Questions
I don't use Wordfence. What else could cause this?
Other security plugins and host firewalls can hide authors from the REST API too. Look for a setting about hiding usernames or blocking the REST API's users endpoint, or allow 35.192.123.62 in that tool.
