As projects pile up, a little housekeeping keeps your Projects page useful. This article covers editing a project, duplicating one for recurring work, archiving finished projects, and deleting the ones you no longer need.
Your Projects Page
Click Projects in the top navigation. Projects are split into three tabs:
Active shows every project that is not archived.
My Active shows active projects that are assigned to you.
Archived shows projects you have archived.
The table has columns for Due, Name, Assigned To, Items (the number of posts), Tasks (the number of tasks in the checklist), and Progress (the percent of all task checkboxes that are complete). Click a column header to sort. Clariti remembers your tab and sort in this browser.
Every action below is in the ... menu in the Actions column. The same actions are in the project menu when you have a project open.
Edit a Project
1. Open the ... menu for the project and choose Edit. From an open project, choose Edit Project.
2. Change the name, description, assignees, due date, or tasks.
3. Click Save Changes.
How Task Changes Affect Posts Already in the Project
Renaming a task keeps every checkmark.
Adding a task adds it unchecked to every post already in the project, so posts on the Done tab move back to To Do until the new task is checked.
Removing a task removes its checkmarks. Posts where every remaining task is checked move to Done.
Reordering (drag the handle next to a task) only changes the order you see.
Duplicate a Project
Duplicating is perfect for work you repeat. If you run a seasonal refresh every quarter, build the checklist once and duplicate it for "Winter Refresh," "Spring Refresh," and so on.
1. Open the ... menu for the project and choose Duplicate.
2. Enter a Name for the copy. Clariti starts with the original name followed by - Copy.
3. If the project has posts, choose Do not copy items or Copy N items from original project.
4. Click Duplicate Project.
The copy gets the same description, assignees, and tasks. A few things to know:
The due date is not copied. Use Edit to set a new one.
If you copy the posts, they start fresh with every task unchecked.
Duplicating an archived project creates an archived copy. Return it to active before you start working.
Archive a Project
Archive a project when the work is finished. It moves to the Archived tab, stays out of your way, and keeps the record of what you did.
1. Open the ... menu for the project and choose Archive. From an open project, choose Archive Project, or click Archive this Project on the All Done! screen.
2. Click Yes, Proceed.
An archived project is read-only. You cannot add posts or check off tasks, and its page is marked ARCHIVED: with the Done tab first and the unfinished posts on an Incomplete tab. You can still filter by an archived project in Explore, and the completed tasks stay on each post's Timeline.
Return an Archived Project
Changed your mind? On the Archived tab, open the project's ... menu and choose Return (or Return Project from the open project), then click Yes, Proceed. The project becomes active again and you can add posts and check off tasks.
Delete a Project
Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone.
1. Open the ... menu for the project and choose Delete. From an open project, choose Delete Project.
2. Read the warning and click Yes, Proceed.
Your posts stay in Clariti and WordPress. They are simply no longer part of the project, and the completed tasks from that project no longer appear on their Timelines. If you might want that history later, archive the project instead.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I archive or delete a finished project?
Archive it. Archiving keeps the record of which posts you worked on and when, which helps when you are trying to connect a traffic change to the work you did. Save delete for projects made by mistake.
Why don't I see a project on My Active?
My Active only lists active projects where you are in the Assign To field. Ask the project owner to add you, or check the Active tab.
Can I get a deleted project back?
No. Deleting cannot be undone, so double-check the name in the warning before you click Yes, Proceed.
