Reminders let you put a date on something you need to come back to. Refresh a holiday recipe before the season starts, check a post's traffic a month after you rewrite it, or swap an affiliate link when a sale ends. On the date you choose, Clariti sends an email with the post's title, image, and a link back to it, so the reminder arrives with everything you need to act on it.
How to Set a Reminder
1. Open the post. From Explore, click the post's title, or press / anywhere in Clariti and search for it with Super Search.
2. Click Quick Actions and choose Set a Reminder. You can also press Opt + R on a Mac or Alt + R on Windows.
3. Fill in the details:
Reminder is what you want to remember, up to 160 characters. This is the line that shows up in the email.
When can be a preset (in 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year), or choose Custom and pick a Date. New reminders start at 2 weeks out, and Clariti remembers the last option you picked.
Send To can be you or anyone on your team. This field only appears when your site has more than one team member, and it remembers your last choice.
4. Click Continue to save.
When the Email Arrives
Reminders are emailed at 8:00 AM in your site's time zone on the date you chose. The Set a Reminder window shows the exact time and time zone at the top, so you always know when it will land.
Once the email goes out, the reminder is done and it disappears from your lists. If you need to come back to the post again, set a new one.
Where to Find Your Reminders
On your Home dashboard
The Upcoming Reminders card lists everything due in the next 30 days, with the date, the reminder text, and the post it belongs to. If you have teammates, switch between For Me and For Team to see only yours or everyone's.
On the post itself
Open the post and look for the Reminders card on the Overview tab. It shows reminders you created and reminders sent to you. Site owners see every reminder on the post.
Editing and Removing a Reminder
On the post's Reminders card, click the pencil icon to change the text, date, or recipient. Click the trash icon and confirm to remove it.
Ways to Put This to Work
Seasonal refreshes. Set a reminder six to eight weeks before a post's busy season so you have time to update photos and republish before the traffic arrives.
Check the results of an update. After you rewrite a post, set a reminder for one month out to look at its Performance tab and see whether the change helped.
Time-sensitive links. Affiliate promos, giveaways, and sale prices all expire. A reminder on the end date keeps an old offer from sitting on your page.
Hand work to a teammate. Send the reminder to the person who will do the work, and it lands in their inbox on the right day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who gets the email?
Only the person in Send To. If you set it for yourself, it comes to the email address on your Clariti account.
Can I set a reminder for several posts at once?
Not right now. Reminders are set one post at a time from that post's Quick Actions menu. To plan work across many posts, use a project with a due date instead. See How do I create a project?
What happens to a teammate's reminders if I remove their access?
When you remove a team member's access to a site, the reminders they had on that site are deleted too.
What is the difference between a reminder and a task?
A reminder sends an email on a date and then clears itself. A task stays on the post's Tasks card until someone checks it off, and completed tasks are recorded on the post's Timeline.
