Filters narrow your Explore list down to exactly the posts you need, like every soup recipe published between November and February that lost traffic this year, or every recipe post with a recipe card but no ratings. You can stack as many filters as you like, then label the results, add them to a project, or export them.
Adding a Filter
1. Click Explore in the top navigation.
2. Click Add Filter at the top of the Filters panel on the left.
3. Choose a filter from the Select a Filter dropdown. Filters are grouped under headings like Clariti, Date, and Performance.
4. Set the values. The list updates as you go.
To remove a filter, click the × next to its name. If you clicked Add Filter by mistake, click Cancel next to the dropdown.
Stacking Filters
A post has to match every filter to stay in the list. Add a Category filter for Soups, a Month Published filter for November to February, and a Page Views % Change filter for anything down more than 20%, and you are looking at your cold-weather soups that are slipping.
Your filters are saved in this browser, so they are still there when you come back to Explore later.
Every Filter, Group by Group
Clariti
Labels. Choose Include or Exclude, then pick one or more labels. Include keeps posts that have any of the chosen labels. Exclude hides posts that have any of them. Clicking a label on a row in the list also adds it to your Labels filter.
Projects. Choose In or Not In, then Any Project or a specific project (archived projects are listed at the bottom, under an Archived divider). With In, a third menu lets you narrow by status: Any Status, To Do for posts that still have work left in the project, or Done for posts that are complete. Not In with Any Project finds posts you have never put in a project.
Date
Date Published and Date Last Modified. Pick a From and To date, or click a quick button for the last 30 Days, 60 Days, 90 Days, or 365 Days.
Month Published. Picks a range of months across every year. From November to February finds every post published in those months, in any year, which is perfect for planning seasonal refreshes. Leave To empty to match a single month.
Performance
Visitors, Visitors % Change, Sessions, Sessions % Change, Page Views, and Page Views % Change. Drag the slider or type a minimum and maximum. These filters appear once Google Analytics is connected, and they use the Performance Period described below.
Traffic Sources
Source Page Views and Source % of Total appear after you pick a source with the Sources button next to the Text Filter. See How to Filter and Sort Your Posts by Traffic Source.
Opportunities
Issue Count, Alt Text Missing Count, Broken Image Count, and Broken Link Count. Issue Count is the number of different kinds of issues on a post. See What the Issues Card Means and How to Fix Each Issue.
Page Metadata
Meta Description. Choose Has Meta Description or Missing Meta Description.
Robots Meta Tag. Set Index to index or noindex, and Follow to follow or nofollow. Leave either one unset to ignore it.
Structured Data (JSON-LD). Set any of Has JSON-LD?, Has FAQ?, Has HowTo?, Has Image?, Has Rating?, Has Recipe?, and Has Video? to Yes or No. Reset clears your choices.
Reviews filters by how many ratings a post's recipe card has, and Stars by its average rating from 0 to 5.
Finding Posts With a Recipe Card
1. Click Add Filter and choose Structured Data (JSON-LD) under Page Metadata.
2. Set Has Recipe? to Yes. To find posts without a recipe card, like roundups and lifestyle posts, choose No.
Pair it with Has Rating? set to No to find recipes that have no ratings yet, or Has Video? set to No to find recipes that could use a video.
Content
Type (page, post, etc), Author, Category, Category Count, Tag, Tag Count, Comment Count, H1 Count, H2 Count, Image Count, and Word Count. Category and Tag each match one term, so to find posts in both Soups and Slow Cooker, add two Category filters.
Links
Link Count, Inbound Link Count, Internal Link Count, and External Link Count. Set Inbound Link Count to 0 through 0 to find orphaned posts that nothing else on your site links to. See Understanding Links: Internal, Inbound, External, and Broken.
Setting the Performance Period
When any traffic filter or traffic column is active, a Performance Period box appears at the top of the Filters panel with a Show metrics for menu. Choose 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days (the default), 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or All time.
The period applies to every traffic filter and column at once. The % Change filters and columns compare your chosen period with the same length of time right before it, so 90 days compares the last 90 days with the 90 days before that. % Change works for periods up to 1 year.

Doing Something With Your Filtered Posts
Once the list shows the posts you want, open the ... button at the top right of the list:
Assign to Project opens Assign Items to Project. Under Assign, choose Selected Items, Filtered Items, or All Items. Filtered Items is picked for you when filters are on and no rows are checked. Choose the project under To and click Assign to Project. The project's tasks then appear on each post's Tasks card. See How to Add Posts and Pages to a Project.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see the Performance filters?
They appear once your Google account is connected. See How to Connect Google Analytics 4 and Search Console to Clariti.
Why don't I see the Traffic Sources filters?
Pick a source with the Sources button first. The two source filters are added for you when you do.
Do filters combine with AND or OR?
Every filter has to match (AND). Inside a single Labels filter, Include matches posts that have any of the chosen labels.
Can I save a set of filters?
Your current filters stay in place in this browser until you change them. For sets you use often, a Super Search phrase can rebuild them in a few keystrokes.
Why does the % Change filter show nothing for 2 years or All time?
% Change compares a period with the one right before it, and it is available for periods up to 1 year. Pick 1 year or shorter in the Performance Period menu.
