Projects turn a pile of "I should really fix that someday" into a checklist you can actually finish. Clariti does the hard part of finding the right posts, so you can spend your time making them better. Here are ideas to get you started, each with a quick way to build the list.
How to Turn an Idea into a Project
1. Find the posts in Explore with a Super Search (press / and type a phrase) or with Add Filter.
2. Create a project with a short checklist. See How to Create a Project in Clariti.
3. Add the posts with ... then Assign to Project. See How to Add Posts and Pages to a Project.
The bold phrases below are Super Search phrases you can type as written.
Fix What Is Broken
Broken Links
Type Posts with broken links by most views to fix your busiest posts first. Step by step: How to Run a Broken Link Project.
Broken Images
Type Posts with broken images. A missing process photo on a popular recipe is an easy win.
Missing Alt Text
Type Posts with missing alt text by most views. Step by step: How to Run a Fix Alt Text Project.
Issues Sweep
Add the Issues column and the Issue Count filter to find posts with the most problems at once, such as broken links, missing meta descriptions, or orphaned pages. Learn what each issue means in What the Issues Card Means and How to Fix Each Issue.
Win Back and Grow Traffic
Content Decay Refresh
Find posts that used to do well and are slipping, then refresh them. Type Posts by drop in views for a quick look, or follow How to Find Content Decay in Clariti for a more precise list.
Seasonal Refresh
Type Posts from any November by most views (or any month) to find your seasonal favorites across every year. Give the project a due date six to eight weeks before the season, so updates have time to get picked up before the traffic arrives. The Month Published filter does the same thing with a custom month range.
Pinterest (or Any Source) Refresh
Click Sources in Explore and choose Pinterest. Sort by the Pinterest columns to find posts that already get Pinterest traffic and deserve fresh Pins, or posts with lots of total traffic and little from Pinterest. See How to Filter and Sort Your Posts by Traffic Source.
Top Posts Check
Type Posts by most views and check your top 20 every quarter. Make sure the recipe card, photos, affiliate links, and internal links are all current on the posts that earn the most.
Strengthen Your SEO Basics
Orphaned posts. Type Posts that are orphaned by most views to find posts with no internal links pointing to them, then link to them from related posts.
Meta descriptions. Type Posts with no meta description by most views.
Structured data. Type Posts with no rating or Posts with no video, or use the Structured Data (JSON-LD) filter to find posts without recipe or video markup.
Noindex review. Type Posts that are noindexed to make sure nothing important is hidden from search by accident.
Add or update FAQ sections. Use the Structured Data (JSON-LD) filter to find posts without FAQ markup.
Clean Up Your Archive
Old, low-traffic posts. Type Posts from 2022 by least views (or any year) and decide which to update, combine, noindex, or delete.
Posts not updated in a while. Use the Date Last Modified filter to find posts you have not touched in over a year.
Roundups to update. Type "roundup" in the Text Filter box to find roundup posts by title, then check every linked recipe still exists.
Posts to reshoot. Add a "Needs Reshoot" label as you notice dated photos, then filter by that label when it is time to plan a shoot day.
Keep the Momentum Going
Type Posts that are not in a project by most views to find popular posts you have never worked on. And once a project wraps up, archive it and duplicate it for next time, so your best checklists become a routine.
